NVQ Level 2 Hoists is a certification course for already qualified Hoists operators. The CPCS course is generally open for eligible candidates who are already aware of operating hoist cranes. The course will offer the selected candidates with the right level of training to upgrade as professional Hoists operators.
The course is certified, and so any candidate who undergoes this training will be eligible for applying for a better job position or as an experienced operator. The course opens up new doors of opportunities for eligible candidates such that they will be entitled to receiving better job position and higher pay scale within the construction field.
What is this?
The course is said to be competency-based course and so is only available for candidates who are already working within the construction fieldwork site. The course is accredited and certified by the CITB and CPCS authorities under the specific code.
It is obvious that candidates who are already holding their valid RED CPCS cards are eligible by default to apply for registration.
The course will also offer these candidates with a chance to upgrade from RED to Blue CPCS card under the CPCS card scheme accredited by the CITB authorities.
Why it is required?
The course is required by the professional candidates as it is mandatory for any candidate who wants to work in the construction line work site. The candidate will have to polish his skills with operating hoists crane lifts and to transfer loads from one level to another at the work site.
The course will offer the candidate with training related to observing all safety and health measures that he is expected to follow when operating this equipment.
The course will open up new opportunities for selected candidates who manage to score passing grades at the end. In order to be certified, the candidate has to score minimum credit points from selected optional and mandatory units.
The candidate will get a chance to polish his skills with making fast track observations as per the CITB regulations.
Criteria
It is obvious that as a part of the requirement, the eligible candidate is expected to provide with details related to past work experience for six months in the construction work site. He will also have to provide evidence related to holding a valid Red CPCS card issued by registered CITB authorities.
As a part of the training program, the candidate is expected to complete the course with passing scores from three optional and mandatory units. The candidate must also have passed out the Touch screen test within a period of last two years and hold his valid health and safety card.
Any candidate who has completed the course will have to display his skills via appearing for both written and practical test that will be assessed by the trained instructors as per the CITB authorities and regulations.
How to apply?
The process for making an application for registration is not complex. The candidate will have to fill up the registration form for the course online via official CITB and CPCS web sites. The candidate can also log on to www.constructionhelpline.com web site and fill in details for Construction NVQ tests.
